CHIHUAHUA DOG PENCIL PORTRAIT DRAWINGS – THE PERFECT DOG PORTRAIT
When commissioning any piece of artwork, the main thing you want is for the drawing to be a perfect representation of the subject, reflecting every attribute perfectly. With every piece of artwork I do, my style being photo realistic, captures every detail of the subject creating a wonderful piece of art you will be so proud of.
In order to capture this level of detail in your Chihuahua portrait drawing, I will need to have good photographic reference of your furry friend. I normally work off 3-5 photos for reference, having a variety of different photos gives me more variety of your Chihuahua so I can capture the colour and character perfectly.
If you already have a bank of photos of your adored dog, but are not too sure if they can be used, feel free to send them over to me I will have a quick look and let you know. Alternatively if you are taking new photos of your Chihuahua please take a look at my photo guide it may be helpful in getting the best photo you can.
Not sure if your photo’s are good enough quality for me to work from? No problem, give me a call or drop me an email, I will happily let you know if your reference is good enough. If they are not quite up to the mark I can advise you on the best way to achieve great photo reference that I can work from. Take a look at my photo guide page on my site, it may help you when taking your photos.
The coat of a Chihuahua is a mix of different textures, it has flat and floaty coat all mixed into one, that come in a huge variety of colours from black to pal tan and every colour in between. This type of dog fur makes for a great dog drawing as the mix of textures give an added dimension to the pencil pet portrait.
