DOG PENCIL PORTRAITS – HEADSHOT
This is my most popular style of dog portrait, a very crisp closeup of your dogs face. Its eyes wide looking at you with love and adoration. This style of dog portrait captures the essence of your dogs character and as its just the head also has an intense amount of detail. If you have multiple photos you would like me to combine thats fine, the more reference to work from the better. Just give me a quick call and we can talk through your exact requirements. Please see prices/ordering page for full details
FULL BODY SHOT
The main thing to consider with a full body dog portrait is the size. The size really needs to be no smaller than 14×16 so I can capture enough detail for a photorealistic finish. A lot of full body dog portraits I have done are sat or laid outside, on the grass or set within a beautiful backdrop. As with all my dog portraits I can do it with our without a background, a lot of my customers prefer to have just the dog with no background so as to keep focus on the dog itself. ACTION SHOT
These can be a great piece of artwork, a picture showing your dog jumping or running, maybe wrestling with its favourite toy. This type of dog portrait can reflect your dogs true character and put a smile on your face every time you see it. When trying to get the photograph for this type of picture its key to get it as clear as possible, due to the movement, as not all cameras will capture the subject in a still position mid movement. Most modern day smartphones are ideal for this type of photography as they have sports mode and slow movement settings that will capture the movement in a split second perfectly. .
