GLAMOUR PENCIL PORTRAIT DRAWINGS – EMOTIVE BEAUTY
When you’re looking to commission a glamour pencil portrait drawing the main thing that needs to be captured is the alluring look and passion of the model. Capturing this will make for the most evocative pencil portrait drawing. As with all the commissions I undertake, I work to the smallest of details capturing every aspect of the subject to a photorealistic level.
To capture this level of detail, the photographic reference needs to be very good. If you are looking to commission a coloured glamour pencil portrait I prefer to work from 3-4 different photos. With having a variety of photos it allows me to see the subject in different lighting conditions and at different angles, to help me capture every detail of the subject perfectly in both colour and scale. If you only have the one photograph you would like me to use for the portrait drawing, thats fine as a lot of people don’t have a variety of the same pose or person in similar settings.
You may find that you don’t have the perfect pose or photograph for me to use for your glamour portrait drawing, it may be that you would like me to combine a variety of different photos, thats fine, I will be happy to discuss this with you, im sure we can come up with the perfect pose for your glamour pencil portrait drawing.
Unsure your photo is good enough quality for me to use? This is sometimes a question my customers have. Once you have placed your order, simply send over your photographs and I will let you know if they are good enough for me to use as reference for your pencil portrait. The one thing to remember is, if the photo is clear and crisp and picks up on concise detail very well, it will normally be perfect me to use as reference. When I do all my pencil portraits I enlarge the reference to 300% on my ipad in order to capture the smallest of details, so the detail and reference needs to be clear.
The majority of people choosing to commission a glamour pencil portrait go for a black and white graphite drawing as opposed to colour. Being a black and white pencil portrait it adds to the mood and emotion of the artwork. Please click here to order your drawing today.
