LABRADOR DOG PENCIL DRAWINGS – CAPTURING THE TRUE CHARACTER
When commissioning a Pencil pet portrait or dog drawing its crucial the artwork is a true reflection of your dog, both in looks and personality. Capturing your Labradors true character is my main focus to ensure you have a pet portrait you are going to be overjoyed with, that brings a smile to your face each time you look at it.
When I undertake any pet drawing I ask for at least 2-3 photographs that capture your dogs colour, expression and character. If you can supply more that great, as each one will give me a different insight into your dogs nature.
Capturing any dogs true colour requires photos that are taken in clear light, daylight is ideal, as it creates no additional colour tints to the dogs fur and reflects its true colouration. its for this reason I require 2-3 photos, so I can understand your dogs true colour and draw a perfect representation.
I have done many Labrador dog drawings over the years and their fur always manages to capture a lot of different colours. This short fairly wiry hair is perfect to draw though, being quite short hair, it shows how the skin flows over the skeleton and gives a very clear idea of the dogs true shape and size.
